MyBlog: What a Week!

The work week that just passed was one of the worst... had to do a major rescheduling of tasks due to the big delays, and at one point I was on the verge of a breakdown on Friday... caught a bad cold and fever on Tuesday too, so I had to call in sick for Wednesday... staying home helped, but didn't feel so good for the rest of the week, which aggravated everything... then my airbed got a hole, don't know why, so I had to sleep using the thin futon again for two nights... good thing I didn't get backaches to top my colds.

The saving grace this pass week? 12 episodes of high-intensity supernatural action and sisterly bonding: Ga-Rei Zero. I still can't get enough of anime, which is top-notch, to say the least. The anime is a prequel to an ongoing manga ("Ga-Rei"). Saw the the 1st and 2nd manga books at Book-Off today, and I grabbed them immediately! The opening sequence can be viewed here. The music is entitled "Paradise Lost". :)

As for the airbed, I didn't buy another one anymore. Instead, I bought a "therapeutic" mattress yesterday at Seiyu (aka "Walmart") - at 50% off! So I'm back to the futon, but with a nice soft layer of "memory-foam" mattress.

Cold's almost gone - the powdered medicine they usually prescribe here works really fast - I guess it was contributing it's fair share of overtime work so as to ensure we are healthy enough to work overtime. Haha. I'm not looking forward to the work week ahead, but I'm hoping it will be better. Breathe deeply... Keep calm... Think happy thoughts... :P

It's been a very, very busy week. It had been a 10AM-1030PM work week, with mornings starting at 6:30AM. Next week looks like it's going to be the same, especially with a customer meeting coming up. With the lack of sleep and all, I'm also coming-up with dry cough, sore throat, and a generally heavy head. And despite everything, the delays kept piling-up... oh well, 頑張りましょう!

Last month, I said I won't miss the 一番くじ Macross Frontier figurines, right? Well, I didn't! The good news is: I got item A - Klan Klan! The bad news is: I didn't get the ones I wanted - items B and C - Sheryl Nome and Ranka Lee! :( In fact, I got item A, D, E, and two F's). I just didn't get B and C! Sigh. But I guess I'm nonetheless happy with the Klan Klan figurine, the nendoroid Sheryl and Ranka, the cute Nyan Nyan bowl, and the Ranka Lee towel. :) For 4,000yen (5 tries, hence 5 items), I should say it was worth it. It's a pretty good set - you'll be happy whichever one you got. I went to check if it's available on the midnight it was supposed to come out. Good thing too, because on the afternoon of the next day, it was all sold out! Not even the small prizes were left.

Here are some pics of the stuff I got. The nendoroid Ranka is simply adorable! She's holding a bamboo dimsum container - which comes with a removable siopao and lid. :) The prints of the Nyan Nyan bowl are great! I took the liberty of showing the prints from different views. I just wish I was able to get more bowls so I can use one. On the other hand, the towel print isn't really high quality - although nonetheless likeable.













And finally, there is Klan Klan herself! How I love the little ribbons behind her heels. :D I wonder if any future military will really allow them in uniforms. ;P Her breasts are admittedly quite large for my taste (not considering she's a Zentradi giant), but it's not really a big deal - no pun intended.
